Allergy Organisations congratulate Mark Butler and Ged Kearney on appointments

The National Allergy Strategy, a partnership between the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA), and the Centre for Food & Allergy Research (CFAR), would like to congratulate the Hon Mark Butler on his appointment as Minister for Health and Aged Care and the Hon Ged Kearney on her appointment as Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care.

In her role as Shadow Assistant Health Minister, the Hon Kearney clearly expressed the impact that allergic diseases, particularly severe allergic diseases, can have on people’s lives, in her speech to the House and we thank her for her support.

We look forward to progressing our work to improve the health and wellbeing of all Australians living with allergic diseases, with the Australian Government. We have laid the foundation in recent years, to progress to the next stage which will have the greatest impact for people living with allergic diseases.
